Variety is the spice of life!

I love witnessing!!!! When folks heard that I had taken on full time secretarial (yes, over 8 years ago, I realize that, but still!!) they thought something was wrong with the picture as being out, witnessing, fundraising, FU, etc. is just TOTALLY up my alley. I love it! :D

I had a great time today - we "crashed" a witnessing spot and it was thuper fun! We got out some CDs, and I even won 2 souls after some cool indepth witnessing. Yeigh! Oh, and I got a couple love notes too. So cute! (Reminds me of good ol' times when I'd get all the roses - and phone numbers - from admirers. HA!) One was from one of the workers at the place, and the other was from the guys I won to the Lord. They actually called me their angel, it wasn't really a love-note! How adorable!!! (It was actually quite neat how our paths met, and I know the Lord lead them there so they could get saved.)

More good news is that I heard that my bro is going to go to Moldova to help Priscila and her kids, and the dear folks she lives with. - For a whole month! YES! I shall have to be sure to impart all my love to them. - And I'm so proud of my big brother for using his breakings to help others. Praying for you, Niel! XX

Also, please pray for my Dad - he needs to get a good job this summer with good bosses, in a good location that will be able to help suit his needs too. TX everyone!

It came, it went, and I'm pooped!

So...our Feast came and went!
The Feasting itself was great, lots of nice goodies, though I can't say I got the "meditation & resting" part down. Yikes! I ended up cooking dinner two days in a row - and that's for over 60 people - not sure how restful that can be (was in the kitchen for almost 5 hours one day, and almost 6 the day after - for our special dinner), but PTL, at least it seems the food was edible (ok, a bit more than that - TG) and I had a good time bonding with the kitchen folks. (Beer is good!) :D
Oh, and I even heard a new song (chanted by my fellow kitchen workers)...though I can't remember it...just that it was some maiden that wanted to get the soldier guy to marry her. HA! Not sure how it ends, the "choir" got carried away laughing they never told me the end of the story, though I have a feeling the soldier boy rips her off. HA! But again, entertaining to hear the chants.
I think our Home took the cake for the longest "toasting" session - can you imagine 40 adults having to toast each other? Yup - that's us! The bummish bit was that a couple folks went to bed early (ahem) so a couple folks weren't toasted by the right ones - I ended up being one of those people (sniff) so someone else took up the torch at the last minute - at least he could think of something to say so I shouldn't be too discouraged, but yeah...that's a bit of a damper.
And then today was our Family B-day...and guess what I did? Yes, I cooked! AGAIN! (No peoples, I'm not our Home's cook - I'm a secretary...that can cook. Fine!) Got up at 6:30 to make a "special" breakfast with two of the Paone brothers - I thought that was cool (meaning their entertaining comments and all) until I did the first dinner shift with Jamie (ST boy) and Cachaca. Now those were interesting moments. - We ended up enlightening the dear fellow that yes, women usually have one breast bigger than the other...Chaca was the model for that (har-har) though he realized which one was bigger on mine too. - Yes, the little man learns quick. ;)
The best news is that tomorrow I'm going to go witnessing - and then Wednesday I'll get to go to the market and do more witnessing....so I can get my witnessing hours in. YEIGH! Thank God for those requirements...I miss witnessing.
I'll let you know how it goes....

And so it begins...

We start our Feasting tonight. - Oh Yes! I've been looking forward to this.

How appropriate that we would kick it off with an evening of LJ...on Valentine's Day. - I don't think it gets any better. ;)

See you all sometime this weekend...I'm trying to shut down shop as much as I can so I can really enjoy this retreat.

Ciao!

Funny things do happen!

I'm not sure if this is going to be flattering to my intelligence or not, but I have to say I had a laugh at myself, so why not share it with others. :D

I had to drive to one of the Homes today (yes, I'm a driver - heh), so we go to tank up with gas and the dear little gas-station man (not sure what to call him) does his usual cleaning of the wind-shield while we're tanking up. I notice however that his cleaning of the windshield is "different" in some way, though I really can't put a finger on what it is. - I figure it must just be me, and off we go after getting our gas and all that fun stuff, including a nice clean windshield.

The time at the Home went well, we're heading Home, and great - it starts raining. Nothing drastic (definitely not your typical rainy season - a.k.a. torrential downfalls), but enough to where I need to turn the windshield wipers on. I turn the knob....hmmm...nothing? I turn it another knob up....still nothing? I decide to try the blinkers just in case perhaps something wrong with the actual system, those work (well, one of them, but I always knew the other one was broken)...and then it hits me!!!!! There are no wind-shield wipers!

DUH!!!

Turns out they were snapped off while "someone" (names with-held to save my neck) was using the van to move a queen-sized mattress from one side of our property to the other. Heh!

At any rate, thankfully we made it back safely, but how often do you lose your windshield wipers and end up having it rain (out of season)? I tell you, its a conspiracy!

Food!!!

A large group of us went out for a nice lunch yesterday - it was so fun, and the food UTTERLY delicious. YUM!

I don't have too many pics from the occasion as it seems the camera man was more interested in taking pictures of the food (HA!) than of the occasion, but here's a special one.

I'm not sure what I'm trying to do, perhaps laying hands on it to multiply it? (Probably the beer!) Whatever I'm doing, it doesn't seem Esther's convinced it'll work. :D

There was plenty of food though...and again, oh, so good!

In general it was a good day though. - And I felt special. (And not becaus of the waiters calling me "mi amor", or the sweet old man that did the singing calling out my name throughout his love songs. - I wasn't sure if I should be creeped out at that or what. Yikes!)

Its interesting though how some days just the littlest things will etch that smile on your face and make you feel warm and loved. For me, that day, it was someone saying "Good Morning" to me before I said it to them. Again, just a little thing, but it actually helped me start my day off right. Made me realize how lacking I am in that aspect. Ouch!

Oh well, just in case, Good Morning to you all! ;)

Here we go...

Alright, please do NOT ask me why I'm doing this, 'cause I honestly don't know what I'm going to write. This means too that anything I say doesn't count for much, so bear with me. (Sorry if this sounds senseless...I honestly feel it is, but just to save face and not wreck it all, here we go.)

As usual, no order of importance:

- Tall! My preference is that they are my height or taller, but being the tall girl that I am I can't always be picky, so yes, as embarassing as this might sound to some of you, I'm not limited to doing/liking guys that are my height or taller. - Good things come in "short" packages sometimes. :P

- Handsome! This is a very, very, very general term, seeing as my idea of handsome might be very different from someone else's. I'm not into the typical "good looking" guys though. I love the rugged look of a man when his facial hairs are starting to grow, not unkept, but that rugged look just makes me go "yum". - Yes, you can call me strange, I still think its manly. I'm really not into "pretty face" guys, they usually make me feel as if they're "little boys" and though there's a time and place for everything, I want a "man". Ahem!

- Smelling oh so good! That is a very important trait! Those who know me know I'm totally into men smelling good. I will literally follow a stranger down the street drawn by the smell of his cologne. Sigh...

- Dressed nicely! I totally like men that are dressed nicely (must be the Italian in me), and in nicely I mean that I detest men that wear those pants that have the crotch that drags all the way down to their knees. (Yes, again, those who know me know what I call those. - Shit in the pants. HA!) I love seeing a guy's chest showing (does NOT have to be bulging) through his shirt, or seeing his butt's shape 'cause his pants are "fitted". Yum-yum!

Let's see, that's only 4? Ouch...hmmmm...thinking....

- Proud of me! This might sound conceited, or you might misunderstand the meaning, but I like it when a man is proud to be with me. I do not like posessive men that are jealous of the way a guy (or guys) will watch me (seeing as it happens a lot - just 'cause I'm often the tallest thing walking down the street - HA!), or get all "offended" that I smiled back at a guy (hey, I like noticing God's creation too, just like they like noticing the girls they pass by), but I do like to feel as if the man I'm with is proud of who he's walking next to.

- Affectionate and confident in knowing what he wants! I do not care for guys that ask permission to kiss me, or ask me for permission to get me aroused for sex. - That is a turn off. There are times when a girl is just not in the mood, and it's wishful thinking to hope that a guy would sense it (oh well), but I'm willing to put up with it, if I know that he's lustful for me. :D

- Liked by other girls, but not a womanizer! This means that I like it if "my guy" is liked by other girls as it helps me feel like I got a good catch. (I'll feel that way regardless, but I'm not a selfish person, and it feels good when others admire your assetts.) I do have an issue though if I feel as if I'm just one of the many "special girls" he's adding to his "been there, done that" list. I have a knack in sensing things, sometimes I wish I wasn't so keen with that, but I'm no sucker for guys promising me the moon. I like down to earth guys that are just honest with their feelings, and are upfront with me as well. If I'm one of the many I want to know that. It doesn't mean your chances at fun are spoiled, I just prefer to be hurt by the truth, than wounded by a knife in the back. I like a man who is comfortable being who they are. I don't want to be on a show, and I don't want the guy to be on a show either. Oh, and please, don't use the same lines you use with all the other girls.

- Adaptable. This is a toughy in that I know I'm not a very "emotionally stable" gal, so that can be tough. I put this in here though 'cause I think it covers the "give and take" aspect that any relationship needs to have. I like guys who are themselves, but are able to adapt to suit my needs, just as I intend to adapt to suit his needs. Let's say the guy is super romantic (and don't tell me there aren't any guys that are romantic, I've dated a few) - I'm not that romantic of a person (I have a tendency to giggle at romance, sorry) and I actually prefer a guy coming in the room with some licorisce, or original type of candy/food or alcohol to enjoy together, rather than a flower of sorts. For me flowers just die (unless I dry them) but they don't really turn any knob. Ahem. So I guess in saying "adaptable" I mean a guy that is ready to try different things to see what's best suited for the moment. I like trying out new things, variety is a key word in my life, so I'm always open to doing new things new ways in new settings, etc. just...well, let's adapt to each other type thing, is paramount.

Yes, I did it! 8 of them! Again, this is just a general list, and I don't even go by it. There are all the spiritual aspects that I crave which I didn't get into explaining as I'd like to think any guy I date is striving to reach the same goals of discipleship as I am, so I'm not going to go listing them and being repetitive.

Again though, I'm not looking for a perfect guy. I feel we make each other what we are, different people bring out different traits, and I'd just like to hope that my traits bring out all those lovely things in the guy that I'd like to see. - After all, I still believe that love is blind, while having that extra eye to see the good and possibilities that others can't see.

And to any guys I've dated that read this list and feel that perhaps things didn't work out 'cause you didn't match up to some or even all of the things on this list, that's baloney. K? I still think you were wonderful in your own special way. ;)

Wish me luck!

So Niki tagged me (and here I thought I was a fast runner)! No, seriously, thanks for thinking of me, girl. - I'm truly flattered!

Sad to say, before I can start searching the inner chambers of my mind (yes, there is more than one - and I try to stay far away from them all) in order to figure out what I look for in a man (Gosh, I get that question way too much!!!) I have to put priority to work, messages, and all those special situations that come from the field, so it might take a while. (Yes, one time when work comes in handy. Yeigh!)

I think it would take me less time to write 8 "complicated" messages, than figure 8 of those out. :(

Simple answer though would be that I don't have a ruler or guide book of how a man needs to be. - If anything I'm a total sucker for trying to be what the guy wants his ideal gal to be. DUH! (What to say, I do have some blonde hairs - ask Andy, it's his latest joke with me - trying to convince me I'm PG. Lol! - I'm not that blonde, dude.)

I shall try to answer those question though, I hate being a party pooper, but honestly, at this point I just don't know.

So again, wish me luck!

Please pray for...

...Daniel and Gabriel (almost 6 months old) in Moldova.

They're Priscila (and Francesco's) twin boys.

I just heard they're very sick with fevers. Pris is also not feeling well and needs extra strength! Please pray for complete and instant healing! Thank you!

By the power of the keys, the healing power of My elixir is released with more potency than ever before.
