This is GOOD! - To women over or nearing 30!

THIS WAS BEEN WRITTEN BY A MAN. – And sent to me by a 30+. Too funny!

This is for all you girls 30 years and over....and for those who are turning 30, and for those who are scared of moving into their 30's...AND for guys who are scared of girls over 30!!!! This was written by Andy Rooney from CBS 60 Minutes.

Andy Rooney says: “As I grow in age, I value women who are over 30 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 30 will never wake you in the middle of the night to ask, "What are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think.
-- If a woman over 30 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do. - And, it's usually something more interesting.
-- A woman over 30 knows herself well enough to be assured in who she is, what she is, what she wants and from whom. Few women past the age of 30 give a damn what you might think about her or what she's doing.
-- Women over 30 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.
-- Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. A woman over 30 has the self-assurance to introduce you to her women friends. A younger woman with a man will often ignore even her best friend because she doesn't trust the guy with other women. Women over 30 couldn't care less if you're attracted to her friends because she knows her friends won't betray her.
-- Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 30. They always know.A woman over 30 looks good wearing bright red lipstick. This is not true of younger women.
-- Women over 30 have more tricks up their sleeve in bed. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 30 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.
-- Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one! You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 30 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed hot woman of 30+, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year-old waitress.
Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire Pig, just to get a little sausage.”

Ha-Ha-Ha! How good is that? :D

YEIGH - Toni scored 2 GOALS!!!

Oh yes, its a good day - Italy showed the world they deserved to win and move up to the finals - simply 'cause they're better. LOL! (No offence Aussies - you held out just great, but please, don't complain about a foul being called in a penalty zone - Italy got a player kicked out for no foul at all! - So it seems pretty even!)
As for me, I don't really care - would have been nice for Italy to win in a less controversial way, but today, yes, today they did it right. Yeigh! - And I'm just happy Luca Toni scored!
Hip-Hip-Hoorah!

Life - with all it throws at us.

Someone sent this to me - it's so true, the attitude with which we face "life" and all it loves to surprize us with, along with having a positive and praiseful attitude, is the recipe for success.
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break … anything. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace … We cannot change our past; we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The one thing that we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it." Charles Swindoll

It only gets better!

Turns out Luca Toni is NOT married. - Yes, you heard me right, he's NOT married! Where there's life, there's hope! :D
FYI, Marta Cecchetto is his "historic" girl-friend (that's what the media calls her seeing as they've been engaged for a good 8 years). LOL - what man is engaged to a woman for 8 years and doesn't marry her? - I see signs of "publicity" here. Snicker...
Regardless, yeigh!

(Yes, I know, I'm pitiful!)

We don't have German Measles!!!!

We don't have German Measles!
We don't have German Measles!
We don't have German Measles!
Ok, I'll stop now, but it just sounds soooooo nice! :D Jesus loves us!

I miss Maldini!

Yes, yes, I do love Luca Toni, but Maldini will always be the real love! Sigh... The World Cup is not the same without him. - Ti amo, Paolo Maldini!

I love my daddy!!!

I'm going to cheat - well, its not quite cheating, its not me who coordinated Father's Day to be one day before my daddy's birthday! :D
So yes, today I got to wish my daddy a Happy Father's Day, and tomorrow (19th) I'll be wishing him a Happy Birthday!!!! - And its all in one post, how cool is that?
I love my daddy! I won't get into all the mushy-gushyness on this post though as he doesn't come here. If you do come here though, daddy, I love you! Happy 62nd B-day! (And yes, I know you just hate me reminding you how old you are. Ahem! - I know you still love me though!)

Here we go again...

Please pray for us - it looks like we're in quarantine again! :(
This time Benny (of Chris and Nat) seems to have come down with German measles. Poor little boy! It does, of course, mean that we're in quarantine again, this time for....well...for who knows how long. Thankfully its not a major sickness, but we do have 2 PG moms in our Home, one in the first 8 weeks of her pregnancy, so we need desperate prayer that they don't get it. We've also exposed about every Home in Mexico City, and its baby-boom season, so again, we need to pray our PG moms are protected.
Its been a busy/crazy month in general - we currently have one of our Senior Teen girls in the hospital having an appendecotomy (ouch - I remember how that felt), Paz had her knee operated on the other day and is bed-ridden/hobbling around on crutches, and...wow, well, we must be doing something right if the enemy is attacking us with sickness so much!
Again though, your prayers are appreciated.

And the adventures begin...

I'm taking over "parenting" a group of OCs/JETTs/JTs for their parents who are going for a week's vacation. - How spooky is that?! :)

Pray for me though, its been a while since I did this sort of stuff. (Gulps!) But hey, I think we'll have a great time. - I'm already looking forward to "parent" day. Fun, fun, fun!

The only scary part is their coming up to me calling me "mommy"...now that's strange. Though I think I'd LOVE the attention it would get me if I were to walk down the street with them calling me that. - LOL! I'd really look young for having a 14 year old kid (though not impossible, I guess, though I would have had to start when I was like 13...ahem).

At any rate, wish me luck, pray for me, and I guess you'll know what my excuse is for silence. - It isn't that easy to become a parent of 4 kids overnight. ;)

CIAO!

Oh why?

Sniff...Luca Toni is married. :(

SO WHAT???!!!!
I don't get it! I declare my love, and guys have to tell me that he's taken. They did that to me too when I had a crush on Ricky Martin - telling me he wasn't up my alley (yeah, like gay or something), and it seems every time I set my eye on some hunky star, I'm reminded that they're not for me. I mean in all honesty, does it really matter that Luca isn't "available"?
I can't see the reason for breaking my poor little heart in telling me that - seriously! The chances of my ever meeting him are close to nothing (the only advantage I might have is that I'm Italian and might meet him in Italy - lol) but really, let me have my dreams. :D
I still love him!!!!

I'm in love!!!!

Good day - very good day! :D

I crashed Jim's room, he let me watch the Italy vs. Ghana game on his TV, though I can't say it was that great a game. But yes, ITALY WON! - That's the important part. I honestly felt bad for the poor Ghanaians though - they're excellent runners and great at the rebound, but hello!!! - The goal was right in front of them, the Italians were plain lucky the Ghanaian players couldn't aim at the goal any better than I could. (Ahem!)
As to my latest announcement, the love is for Luca Toni! - He's my new heart-throb. Tall, dark and handsome, what more could I ask for in a man? (And yes, he's rich too, so...) But yes, well, oh goodness, now I just need to convince him to go FD. HA! Wish me luck! :D

Oh, one sad part, I missed the "shirtless" moment. What's with me???? I always watched a game for the "shirts come off" time at the end, and here I walked away before they did it. ARGH! (Sniff...) I know what it is, last World Cup Italy was sporting these super-duper-cool undershirts, and I was disappointed, but wow, now I know, they take their shirts off again. Hip-hip-hoorah!!!!!

Our B-day wishes!

What do you think of this? We put it together for Jim - he turned 96 on the 1st of June. Is that awesome, or what? Such a sweet man, and a real blessing to the CTC.Sorry if I haven't posted much these days - there's just heaps going on to keep this up to date. I've been in meetings too (yup, major ass workout) so that means major backlog and then some, so yeah...what to say. Oh, I know what to say:
Forza Italia!!!!
I hope I can watch the Italian games.

Silenccccce....zzzzz

Sorry, lots going on, but I'm just tired, very tired. - Will catch you up with it all some other time.
In the meanwhile, here's a nice PV someone shared with me the other day. "Every time you are faced with a test, it's an opprotunity to rise above." I wish we could add "and add a toast". - If so, I'd be smashed. :D
