Third party accident

I totally forgot to blog about this - it's way in the past, but still a worthy snippet of fun. - Well, fun in a certain way, I do feel somewhat sorry for the...wait, getting ahead of myself.

So yes, Chellie and I caused an accident! - Ahem! (*This was during the first Core, so yes, this is a very old story.)

Nope, we weren't driving, we were walking! :D We were actually innocent. - Totally innocent!

We're making our merry way to the little restaurant and town square when this car is honking at us and the men inside trying to get our attention, blowing kisses and calling out at us. - We're ignoring them, of course. And then just when I turn my head to look I see the dude ram into the car in front of him. Ouch! The car in front was not happy (he was probably ticked off at the guys' ruckus to start with, and that just added to it), and we literally picked up major speed to get away from the "crime scene". - No way was I going to take the blame for a spaced out dude.

So yes, pitiful story, but funny none-the-less! Moral of the story, concentrate on driving, and not on the gringas walking next to you! ;)

A man?

I went in to exchange my license today - I'm in the US for a visa/business trip (which I'll have to tell you about at some point) and after the last fiasco where I lost my license, had to go in to replace it, etc. I figured it was easier to get myself a Florida license. - You walk in and pick it up then and there, no getting it sent to you in 4 to 6 weeks, no issues with the receiver's name on the box, etc. and yes, I can replace it online if I need it. YAY!

So yes, I went in to do just that and it was all going quite well. I answered all the questions quite well; no DUI or restrictions ever (12 years) - which I'm proud of, TTL - they even rated me a safe driver on my license - yay. No psychiatrist has ever termed me mental (though as the lady next to my examiner told me, "if you were, you wouldn't even know or admit to it". HA!), and I still use corrective lenses. :D I also measured myself twice to see if I'm still 5'10 (yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am still 5'10 - I'm sorry, that's just what the measuring tape tells me each and every time - even the official ones), and they then print it out real quick, I pick up my license and am trying to accept the way I look in the pic (on a rate of 1 to 10 I'm perhaps a 6), and we're pulling out of the drive-way, when I look at the license to double-check the address is right, etc. and notice that by the "Sex" they put "M". - An M!!!!! At first I thought perhaps that was the class of license, but no, its really the sex.

Hello! I am NOT a man!

So we swing around and I walk in to the place again, probably blushing from embarrassment, the receptionist sees me and asks me what's wrong now (in a joking manner), to which I tell him that they wrote me up as a man. - Ha! He tells me to go right up to that examiner and give him a piece of my mind. :D (The examiner was so sweet and friendly, why would he think me a man?)

At any rate, I got the examiner and asked him why he thought I was a man! - And of all days I was wearing a dress. - Yes, a dress! I reassured him that what he saw was all natural. - A-L-L! ALL! I mean, I've NEVER been mistaken for a man before. Ha-ha!

The good news is that I got it replaced in 2 minutes which confirmed that I'm an "F" again (whew), and good thing the dude made that mistake on a woman that didn't take offense and just laughed it off, not assuming he actually thought I was one (God forbid!), but boy, oh boy, if he got one of those uglier women...ooohhh...scary thought! I'm sure his colleagues are going to let him have it - they were already calling out comments. HA!

Oh well, at least I can rest well knowing that I'm a woman again. ;)

YAY!

I just found out that Jace and Pal had the baby! :D - Well, Pal did! Jace is the one that gets to be all proud about him. - He also set up a blog...

He's adorable.
Congratulations Pal and Jace! :)

A few more...

XD#2 starts Wednesday so I'm probably going to go silent again, but I wanted to post some more pics before that. ;)
This is our "core team" minus M&E! - Yup, one man and so many ladies. (Juan seemed rather fine with it. Snicker!)

Dear Andy!

Andreas - I think he's trying to do the "magnum" look. :P
Juan's traditional pose (funny guy) - and he got Justin into it too! Tsk, tsk, tsk....

Andre' showing me so much love! :D - And if I look like I'm squeeling its 'cause I am. - He was drenched (after running in the rain)!

Luchi took this - she was zooming in on the pendant, and how about that? I made it in there too. ;) Luchi's awesome at photography!
