It came, it went, and I'm pooped!

So...our Feast came and went!
The Feasting itself was great, lots of nice goodies, though I can't say I got the "meditation & resting" part down. Yikes! I ended up cooking dinner two days in a row - and that's for over 60 people - not sure how restful that can be (was in the kitchen for almost 5 hours one day, and almost 6 the day after - for our special dinner), but PTL, at least it seems the food was edible (ok, a bit more than that - TG) and I had a good time bonding with the kitchen folks. (Beer is good!) :D
Oh, and I even heard a new song (chanted by my fellow kitchen workers)...though I can't remember it...just that it was some maiden that wanted to get the soldier guy to marry her. HA! Not sure how it ends, the "choir" got carried away laughing they never told me the end of the story, though I have a feeling the soldier boy rips her off. HA! But again, entertaining to hear the chants.
I think our Home took the cake for the longest "toasting" session - can you imagine 40 adults having to toast each other? Yup - that's us! The bummish bit was that a couple folks went to bed early (ahem) so a couple folks weren't toasted by the right ones - I ended up being one of those people (sniff) so someone else took up the torch at the last minute - at least he could think of something to say so I shouldn't be too discouraged, but yeah...that's a bit of a damper.
And then today was our Family B-day...and guess what I did? Yes, I cooked! AGAIN! (No peoples, I'm not our Home's cook - I'm a secretary...that can cook. Fine!) Got up at 6:30 to make a "special" breakfast with two of the Paone brothers - I thought that was cool (meaning their entertaining comments and all) until I did the first dinner shift with Jamie (ST boy) and Cachaca. Now those were interesting moments. - We ended up enlightening the dear fellow that yes, women usually have one breast bigger than the other...Chaca was the model for that (har-har) though he realized which one was bigger on mine too. - Yes, the little man learns quick. ;)
The best news is that tomorrow I'm going to go witnessing - and then Wednesday I'll get to go to the market and do more witnessing....so I can get my witnessing hours in. YEIGH! Thank God for those requirements...I miss witnessing.
I'll let you know how it goes....

They chose you 'cause they knew you'd do a good job at "carrying the torch", Andy. ILY! - Thanks for filling in!
