Right...

...I haven't forgotten my "to do" of writing up more tales - I'm just waiting for the rest (and best) pics to reach me. I have to remind myself that as simple as something might seem to me (i.e. burning a DVD or uploading something to an FTP site), it isn't that way for everyone else (snicker - PTL) so yes, I'm still planning on uploading pics, etc. but I'm waiting. - And seeing as I don't really want to get into writing too much, then pictures are a MUST. - Pray I can get those pics. ;)

In the meanwhile I'll leave you with something that struck me (and made me count my MANY blessings).

The Sunday before returning to Mexico I roamed the streets of Havana looking for some stuff (Havana is actually quite safe, especially for tourists, as they have cops everywhere "keeping the peace"), and came upon a main street where the Cubans hang out (it seems there are the more touristic spots that are too expensive, and then the "local" spots where the Cubans are able to chill and afford their fun). They had snacks served and the set-up was an interesting concept in itself (i.e. the way the ice-cream was already dished out in these little plastic cups, limited to the 2 flavors, expensive, etc.) but the line of parents with their kids was what got my attention the most. I was trying to figure out what the line was for when I saw this interesting little pink push cart/ride come by. This lady was pushing kids around on it, and they were all taking turns for the "ride".

Can you imagine? The equivalent of a pink tricycle! That was the kids' highlight of the day probably (and it wasn't cheap). - Well, the ride and the 2 flavored ice-cream in the little plastic cup!
