This 'n that
I'm home! - Yay!
I had that on my skype and it turns out many of those I work with didn't even know I was gone. HA! Oh well...such is life when you spend most of your day sitting behind a desk. (At least I'm comforted that my laugh and loud voice - ahem - was missed by those at my home.) It's been nice sitting back at my own desk though. The Lord's blessed me with a nice set-up, so I really missed it. Did I ever share a pic of my desk? Here you go!
(By the way, please note how beautifully my plants are doing! - Though that is also thanks to Mic for watering them while I was gone. HA!)
The funny thing is that whenever I go somewhere, somehow or another people tend to think that it's for vacations. - Why is that? I haven't actually had any vacations since like, yeah, last summer (when I went to Italy). - Not even the usual Christmas vacation/break that others had. (Or maybe that's why they think it was for vacation? 'Cause they think I'm going to make up for it?) PTL! I hope to make up for it somehow at some point - though I really don't know when...work just keeps coming in. - But yes, TTL for the feeling of being needed. ;)
And as a special piece of variety, I got to accompany our "Sin Fronteras" singing group Sunday afternoon - being their driver and even "body-guard". It was actually quite fun, and I got to make some wonderful mistakes with my Spanish. :D - I think the best was walking up to one of the managers of the restaurant and greeting him with a "Hasta luego". - DUH! (That's "good bye", by the way.) Oh well...it keeps me humble. - And somehow endears me to people as they think I'm just so helplessly sweet and dumb. - Heh! PTL!
And then it started raining...and raining...and pouring (literally - it was crazy). We had to keep turning around in order to find another route to get home as the roads were flooded. One of our teen boys ran to the store to get some tortillas and literally waded in water up to below his waist (and he's taller than me) - which is why he wore his bathing suit shorts. - Smart guy! - Now, to just fix the leaks that we have.
Oh, and before closing, please pray for our housing situation. I won't get into details, but the Lord's gotta do some miracles - HUGE miracles - and we can use all the prayers we can get. - Thanks so much!

Good to see you've got my favourite pic of you on that little easel on top of your desk!!
Pete.
Maybe that's why I miss the beach so much! - With pics of water like that on my desk, no wonder. :(

Yup, that's what it is! - And I'm very happy with it. TYJ! :)
