Cel-of-all-trades!

Mexico is a field where you find so many hidden talents you didn't know you had. It actually boosts your self-esteem. - At least it boosts mine!

Today one of our boys was doing some electrical work in our little house. He had to flip one of the fuses, which also happened to be the fuse that has our internet and router hooked up. I on the other hand had some deadlines which required me being on line, so I came up with this great plan. (Fun, fun!) You know how they show a picture of someone getting an idea with a lightbulb? Well, I saw a spider's web!!

So that is what our living room looks like now! We have three extention cords running through the living room and little kitchen. - Quite picturesque! (NOT!) But its been great! I've been online, and folks are getting good exercize climbing over the wires, ducking under them, etc. Of course that means I have to regularly go and reconnect wires, but yes, mission accomplished. (I met my deadline. Yeigh!) And hey, they even said I might qualify to be one of the "handywomen" of the CTC.

I'd take a pic if I could, my write-up doesn't quite do the subject justice, but I'm quite proud of myself, so I had to share it with all! :D

I guess for every pride trip there's also the fall though (gulps) and I did manage to wreck one of the girl's leg weights. I finally gave in to temptation and borrowed the leg weights (for the record, I do not like using weights - I get muscular way too easily) but it must have NOT been a good idea, considering that as soon as I put them on they ripped! - Gosh, did I feel like an elephant then.

Reminds me of when I used to bust the steppers from too much usage. (Okay, so I had to get used to sitting behind a desk all day. You can't blame me for trying to burn off some energy, right?) I steer clear of steppers now-a-days though...too many bad memories. I actually got a thick wire/cable exchanged when I called the stepper company once and told them I had snapped the cable. They were shocked, they sent me a new cable as it had NEVER happened before. HA! - See what I mean? An elephant! LOL!

Still, handywomen have to be strong, right? What are a few steppers when you can save the day with a spider's web? :D
