2006 - Here I come!

Yup, I'm here to post the usual "Happy New Year" wishes...I sure hope everyone had a bash of a time celebrating - I know we did. It was so fun (and to think I was contemplating not going), danced a LOT, didn't drink much though (2 Margarita's at the beginning of the party - I was one of the designated drivers), though hey, I don't need alcohol to have fun. - I love proving that.

I think my competitive streak got the best of me. At least I won all the games I participated in (fun!) though my legs and even ribs are in major pain today - I can't figure out why. (And no, it's not 'cause of some special romping positions, I wouldn't be asking about it if it was 'cause of that.) I think it has partly to do with the morning Home activity we had (as well as all the dancing last night). We played "Power" and I was chasing someone, almost got him, when my upper body kind of lost sync with the legs part of the body. lol! I sure provided the action stunt there flying across the grass - and yes, I have scratches to show for it. Folks sometimes think I'm accident prone with all the sport injuries I get, but hey, what to say...I like participating and putting all I can into it.

At any rate, I'll see if I can find some pics from our NY party, but in the meanwhile I'll wish you all an extra special new year ahead. 2005 proved to be a toughy for each person I know, though I trust and pray it only made us stronger, and ready to forge ahead into 2006.

I'm not making any resolutions this year, other than to hold on and stick it out, continuing to do what the Lord's called me to. - We'll see how that goes. New Year's resolutions mean nothing to me, I want to do something, I do it, doesn't have to be a new year (heh!), but sticking to what we know is our calling, even when it seems you're barely managing to stay afloat...now that's the challenge. ;)
