Monday
Oh my gosh! – It feels like the house is empty! We have one kid and one Junior Teen (yes, I said ONE of each – compared to the 19 we usually have), and then about 16 adults (whoa – really?), but still, considering we’re like over 30 16+ year olds it feels very empty.
As to what I’ve been up to (other than work) I took someone to the airport yesterday. It was the first time I’d driven there on my own (as in, the one actually making the turns and doing the whole “directions” side of life). The other times I was spacing out for one reason or another – a.k.a. not the driver, or my wrist was in pain, etc. but we succeeded. :)
I can’t say if the biggest challenge was trying to make sure we found the right road (yes, thankfully I ask for directions!), or figuring out which button to push on the elevator when it came to getting from the parking to the ramp to the airport. – We opted to push all of them. (What shiners!)
My shiner prize was a nice Frappuccino – oh yes! Considering the coffee I was going to drink in the morning was awful (which means I didn’t drink it!) it was a welcome event. Ah…
My week is starting again today…I’m skipping my WnR in order to go to Veracruz this weekend (leaving Thursday). – Oh, I’m SOOOO looking forward to it. I’ll try to bring a digital so I can show off the “I got out of Mexico City” part. Considering the first 6 months I was here I didn’t get out of Mexico City at all I think I’m doing okay for this round. It’s been 2 months and I’m hopefully out of here for a few days. Yeigh! I just need to come up with some more of these plans…it’s the “keeping Cel sane” procedures…don’t know how I’ve survived these last months. Gulps!
Catch you all around sometime. XX
