Back!
Finally, I'm home...I slept in my own room, in my cozy bed, and yes, woke up to the screeching of that falcon we have in our yard (argh!), plus the clanging of the workmen banging I don't know what. Come to think of it, I really don't know what they're banging - they're meant to be building, not breaking. Hmmm...
At any rate, there's no place like home, though I didn't realize how much I missed the CTC until last week! - The great outdoors was lovely (found myself running back and forth a lot, which I don't do here for lack of "safe" outdoors), plus the people, now that's what I really miss, as the cold I could do without (ha!) as well as the EXTREMELY loud week-end nights. Friday night I was tempted to go crash our neighbors' party - it was SOOOOO loud, I might as well have been sitting smack in the middle of it. - Needless to say I didn't get a very good night's sleep that night.
It was a good week though, and everyone there is great and such hard-workers. - I super admire them! We had a delicious meal one night cooked by zee great "J" chefs; Joy, Justin, and Jamie (boy). They didn't want pictures taken, I don't blame them, so yeah, you'll have to take my word for it. :D It was delicious though! Thanks again guys!
Oh, right, I got to meet up with Justin and Linda - Linda I knew from way back younder when I was a wee (more like ugly) lass. Har-har! Such a sweet, lovely, and beautiful couple though. The meeting schedule and their work schedule didn't allow us to chill together, so hanging out with them for fun is still on my "to-do" list, and who knows, maybe Linda and I can dress like amazon women and live up to the picture it seems some men get when they think of us. (Ahem, Mig and Justin!) - Though other than height we're somewhat opposites in looks (i.e. she's got straight black hair, very slim, etc.) so perhaps we can name ourselves "Amazon Salt" and "Amazone Pepper". WDYT? :D
Actually, I did get to spend a couple hours with Linda and Juan (of Ange) out at the cute little zocalo Saturday afternoon. - Had good food, and enjoyed ourselves. Good thing Mexicans are so used to men having a couple women with them, neither of which are their wives. - It didn't make Linda and I stand out too much. Snicker!
There's more to say and perhaps I'll recap it at some point (or as I think of it) but for now I've got to get back to the thoughts of tidying up my room, etc. - I actually have glass curtains now, as well as light fixtures. - How awesome is that? TYJ! - And thanks Ez. Jesus is so good to me! :)
