Italy – Part 5
And then came the last day or two. – This is where things started getting messed up, sad to say. One evening I accidentally took a bite of lamb, thinking it was steak, and though I spit it out, obviously what I’m allergic to was/is in the juice, and I got it. Headache set it, then the next morning on our way to the mall it hit me, I had to get my dad to stop the car so I could avoid hyperventilating (not to mention the curvy roads were getting me oh, so car sick – I just thank God I wasn’t driving that day).
We got to the mall, I had to rush to get something sort of an aspirin to avoid the intense migraine I felt setting in. I scared quite a few folks it seems, they were going to call 118 (the equivalent of 911 in Italy), but thankfully after taking something (I still don’t know what it was) I stabilized and other than sitting all day I was okay.
The next day we tried to rest a bit, went swimming and relaxed, and that evening is when fever set in. We went over to the place where the contact/friend that arranged/paid for our apartment was (we hung out there often in the evenings, quite fun) and took some pics with him. I’m already sick and have a fever in these pics so excuse the expressions/looks! The last one of me standing is comical though. You see, the guy behind the bar counter was oh so scrawny. – Those who worked with him would tease him that he’d snap if the wind blew (lol), and Ang really wanted to jokingly have big ol’ me take a picture with scrawny him. Turns out she succeeded, good for you girl! :P

Italy/Hungary –Traveling yet again
The next day I was still feeling sick but we went to FU on a super nice girl who ended up being the answer to prayer for some needed finances. GBH! – It came out of the blue! TTL! I ended up taking the ferry to cross over to Rome that night, even though my dad was rather worried at that. The crew on the ferry was very helpful though (you don’t want to know what my dad called them – ahem) and if anything I had the guys trying to beat each other at helping me. HA!

The second officer invited me to visit the bridge and though I was going to get to bed as soon as I could it was a wee bit too early for that so I took him up on the offer. Seems I gave him the wrong impression though (either that or he thought he was really lucky – lol) and after making the singer dedicate a song to me (nice song though) he wanted to “keep me company” for the night. – Oh D-D-Dear! Thankfully he was gentleman enough to not be pushy about it, but goodness, do I really look that easy? Oh well, whatever! It was a safe trip and I made it to Rome and then on to Budapest problem free. TTL!
