I live!
Yup - I'm still here! Incredible how fast (yet slow) some weeks/months pass! I'm trying to hunt down some pics of the last weeks but it's just been busy! - So when they come, you'll see them (either on this blog, or on others').
John and Mya got married and that was a huge event, which I think we all enjoyed helping with. - We have such quality people here, incredible hard-workers, I admire them!
The weeks before that I was in meetings, only to collapse the day after they ended with a migraine due to over-tiredness, I guess. (I slept for 6 hours during the day and slept a good 11 hours that night - can you believe that?) I did get to play a fun soccer game earlier that day though, however I think if you picture me running up and down the court, that was probably a more accurate depiction of reality! (I'm sure I kicked the ball a few times and even set up a goal though - I'm sure of it!)
I was honored with John and Mya asking me to make them the lasagna for their wedding, so that was sweet - and my wee contribution! I don't think that I realized it would mean 2 days in the boiling hot kitchen (yes, it was for over 100 people after all) but the reward of seeing people enjoy it, and hearing there were NO leftovers (I made 7 industrial size trays of it) was worth it. - Even though I almost squealed watching a certain someone (ahem, if you see this you know who you are) putting cream salad dressing and Tabasco sauce on it. I think the best bit was the first feeling of pride at seeing it was his 2nd generous helping, followed by the shock, and the "what are you doing to that?!!" comment, which ensued the "I know, it's sacrilege, just don't tell the person who made it..." and then the look of total embarrassment when the guy figures out that my look of shock is because I made it. LOL! Thankfully I have a sense of humor and can laugh at it, but yes...quite the "pride cometh before a fall" enactment.
Of course, I have quite a few of those...like slipping on our wet floor during the Bachelor's party (note to self: you don't know how to wear heels) and smashing/bruising my cheekbone on our tiled floor. :( Thankfully the bruise and swelling didn't look bad, nothing cover-up couldn't hide, but it stopped any drinking as I didn't know how it would affect my head. (And no, I wasn't drunk! I had only drank the equivalent of two glasses of beer, and a shot of tequila, so lose that thought. K? - Ok, and I did a keg stand, but still!)

Life has been good though - the Lord supplied so abundantly, and so many cool people came around, I got to meet a few folks I had been hoping to meet for ages, so all in all it was great. The Lord even kept the weather nice for those days, so it was just perfect!
I doubt there will be that many pics of me but I'll see what I can find. - I wore a red dress...with permission from the bride, so yes, enough said!
And if this post doesn't have rhyme or reason, or just plain doesn't flow...oh well. - Catch you later. ;)
