Mother's day!

The 10th of May was Mother's day in Mexico, and today, the 14th is Mother's day in the US. I realized I hadn't posted anything about that on the 10th (shame on me), but lucky me, I get a second chance. (Whew!)

To all of you who know my mom you'll agree she's wonderful and sweet! - And I know she's the best mom I could have asked for. Even my dad, who has been seperated from her for almost 20 years, will agree that he couldn't have chosen a better mom for his kids. She actually got married to have kids, she wanted 12 but only had 2 (Ironic, isn't it? Ha!), but that didn't stop her from mothering many others and putting her whole heart into being the best mom she could to the children entrusted to her care. - And just to prove how cool she is, here's a classic pic! (Ain't she brave. Ha!)

I don't know if I'll ever know the feeling of what being a mom is like, but I admire and envy each of the awesome moms who have taken that on. - You're TOPS in my books!

As the Lord so beautifully put in "God's Greats"; "In teaching and educating and raising and caring for My children, you are creating masterpieces greater than the finest artwork on Earth--greater than the works of Michelangelo and all his tedious and detailed work on the Sistine Chapel; greater than all the works of Rembrandt; greater than all the works of any artist that ever lived. Your works are masterpieces of living art--not that which will be admired on pieces of canvas, or sculptures carved from stone, or on the walls of a great church. No, those works of art will pass away, but the work of teaching and raising and caring for My children will live on in their lives. For they are creations of My hand, made in My image, and you are the ones I have chosen to raise them in My nurture and admonition.
When all is said and done and you come Home to Me to receive your heavenly reward, every minute of forsaking that you did on My behalf for My children will be compensated an hundredfold, and all the world will know of your love and service for Me.
...what I love and admire about you is your yieldedness to scale the mountain of caring for, teaching and raising My children that I have for you. This is a great form of love that I receive from you that is very dear to Me--priceless and beyond earthly description. You are My brides who live My Words of love in 1Corinthians 13, who hold up love as the greatest thing in giving your lives to Me to care for My children. I love you. Great is your reward in Heaven."
